FALLS CITY – Band Director John Furrow updated the Falls City School Board about the band’s performance at this year’s Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.
The band, dance and cheer groups competed against 900 students across the country in the Battle of Bands in front of 60,000 at the Valero Alamo Bowl.
The Falls City High drumline received a “best in class” and the band received a “superior” rating at the event.
A group of 33 students left Dec. 27 for the five-day trip. They participated in a parade contest, pep rally and performed at halftime of the football game.
