3,000 Active Arrest Warrants In River Country

Arrests warrants issued in cases charging burglary, assault, theft, drugs and tampering with evidence

NEBRASKA CITY –  Nebraska officials in River Country are reporting over 3,400 active arrest warrants to begin the year 2020.

Travis Kirkendall

Kirkendall, age 43, whose last known address was in Falls City, has cases pending on charges including driving a stolen van through a city park and burglary at Harmon’s OK tire.

He was also mentioned in a state Fire Marshal’s report involving the use of an explosive at the Spirit Shoppe in Falls City. The investigator  says a woman convicted in the explosion had discussed a home-made explosive with Kirkendall.

An arrest warrant was issued Oct. 23, 2018, after Kirkendall failed to appear in district court.

The sheriff’s office alerts citizens not to attempt to apprehend Kirkendall themselves, but to dial 911 if he is seen.

Jose Garcia-Rodriquez

Garcia-Rodriquez, age 20, whose last known address was in Plattsmouth, has a case pending on charges of domestic assault on a pregnant woman on Sept.17.

An arrest affidavit says Rodriquez drove a woman from Omaha to a destination in Plattsmouth, but when he arrived he did not want to go inside the residence and the woman did not want to get out of the pickup truck.

Ashley Kendall

Kendall, age 32, whose last known address is in Columbia, Tenn., has a case pending on a three counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Court records say Kendall locked herself in the bathroom at an Auburn gas station after police knocked on the window of her Cadillac Escalade on July 2.

Warrant was issued for her arrest on Aug. 6, when she failed to show up in court for arraignment.

Dawn Hershey

Hershey, age 37, whose last known address is Nebraska City, has a case pending on charges of theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance on Aug. 21.

Court records say a sheriff’s deputy stopped a car Hershey was driving and the car had been reported stolen out of Omaha.

An arrest warrant was issued Dec. 9.

Nicolas Mora

Mora, age 26, whose last known address was Humboldt, has a case pending of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful display of plates on Aug. 1.

Court records say a pickup Mora was driving had been reported stolen in Topeka, Kan.

A warrant was issued Nov. 5 after he failed to appear in court on Oct. 29.

Devin Watt

Watt, age 47, who is serving a sentence in Sarpy County, has a case pending on a charge of possession of child pornography on Jan. 30.

Court records say authorities searched his home at Beaver Lake and seized his cell phone. Prosecutors say 48 images and 39 videos involving children under the age of 16 were found on the phone.

An arrest warrant was issued Dec. 18 based on an affidavit from Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Jericho Jones, Jesse Bergerhofer, Charles Buck

Jones, 33, has a last known address  in Olathe, Kan. Bergerhofer, 47, has a last known address of Kansas City. Buck, 32, has a last known address of Gardner, Kan.

The  three have charges pending of possession of more than a pound of marijuana on Nov. 7.

Court records say an Otoe County sheriff’s deputy stopped their vehicle on Highway 2 on Nov. 7.

Arrest warrants were issued Dec. 18 after they failed to show in court for a first appearance.

Shannon Yard

Yard, 29, whose last known address was Syracuse, has a case pending on charges of possession of a controlled substance on May 26.

Police arrested Yard when she went to the sheriff’s office claiming someone was trying to take her child. Court records say police found illegal drugs in her backpack.

Although her defense attorney said Yard did not appear in court because of inpatient treatment, Deputy Otoe  County Attorney John Palmtag asked for an arrest warrant for Yard on Dec. 2.

The judge said if Yard is in a treatment program, her attorney could ask that the warrant be recalled.

Tabitha Standley

Standley, age 31, whose last known address was in Nebraska City, has a case pending on a charge of tampering with physical evidence on Oct. 4.

Court records say Standley called 911 to alert authorities to a heroin overdose in Nebraska City. Otoe County Attorney Jennifer Panko-Rahe says while the state’s Good Samaritan drug overdose law provides immunity for people who call for help in the case of a heroin overdose, Standley is charged for allegedly washing the illegal drug from a spoon.

An arrest warrant was on Nov. 20 after Standley failed to appear for a court hearing.
