PLATTSMOUTH – If you like to browse for just the right holiday gifts for loved ones without having to fight crowds for so-called specials, then you may just want to stop in Plattsmouth’s Historic Main Street District for its first-ever Shop the Red Lantern Shoppes promotion,  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 30, on Small-Business Saturday.

The event precedes Plattsmouth Main Street Association’s (PMSA) Eleventh Annual Victorian Christmas on Main and offers visitors a chance to win prizes. PMSA is a non-profit membership organization formed to protect, promote and preserve the Historic District by assisting downtown economic growth for the whole community.

“Pick up your Red Lantern Shoppes Passport Map at one of the participating shops,” a Plattsmouth Main Street Association (PMSA) flyer states. “Have Your Passport stamped at each location on the map Nov. 30 and enter to win the drawing. Once you have completed getting the passport stamped, return it to any of the participating shops.”
