Borrego Charged With Assault On Officer

NEBRASKA CITY – Chase Borrego, 26, of Nebraska City has been charged with assault on an officer following a Nov. 21 incident at his grandparent’s trailer house on Fifth Corso.

An arrest affidavit says Borrego struck an officer with the palm of his hand while the officer was investigating an assault report.

Police called Nebraska City Rescue for injuries to Borrego’s grandmother, but she refused treatment.

Borrego was taken into emergency protective custody.
