SIDNEY – Fremont County sheriff’s deputies arrested a wanted felon in Farragut Thursday despite a fake bank robbery call.

A sheriff’s office press release says deputies acted on a tip that a man that was wanted on a warrant out of Marshalltown , Iowa, was hiding in a residence on Essex Street in Farragut.

While looking for the man on the scene, authorities received an anonymous call claiming two men, wearing masks and armed with guns, were at the bank in Riverton, Iowa.

The Riverton bank has been closed for several years and deputies determined the call was fake.

After observing a man exit and re-enter the Farragut house, deputies forced entry into the house and deployed the K9 Roby.

Two occupants of the house, 30-year-old Jonathan Lee Million of Marshalltown and 43-year-old Lisa Ann Costello of Farragut, surrendered.

The sheriff’s office says a search warrant was conducted on the residence and several items of evidence were recovered, including a loaded firearm reported stolen during a burglary out of Fremont County.

Million is suspected of interference with official acts, theft and two counts of possession of a weapon by a felon.

Costello is suspected of accessory of a felony and possession of methamphetamine.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope said Tabor and Shenandoah police assisted in the investigation.
