Juveniles Suspected Of Car Vandalism in Peru
Cars parked primarily along two streets damaged
PERU – The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office has turned its investigation regarding vandalism to cars in Peru over to the county attorney’s office for prosecution.
Sheriff Brent Lottman said the names of four juveniles have been turned over following vandalism on the night of Nov. 3.
Ten cars, primarily parked along two streets, sustained damage. Many had windows broken.
The sheriff says it is a case of mindless vandalism. He says the youths were not targeting any particular cars and the type of damage to cars varied from one location to another.
