Syracuse Considers Restrictions On RV Parking

SYRACUSE – The Syracuse City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at city hall.
The agenda includes a possible lien on property due to non-payment of utility bills, a new camping area, new dump truck and prohibition on parking boats, campers, UTVs and other vehicles unless permission is posted by the city.
The parking ordinance is expected to come before Mayor KC Ortiz. It would restrict parking or “placing” of recreational vehicles except where a maximum time is posted or otherwise permitted by the city.
The city council will also consider a conditional use permit regarding a new camping area proposed at 160 Mohawk St.
A public hearing is also scheduled for the city’s future land use map, which was prepared by JEO for the comprehensive development plan.
In other action, the city will consider purchase of a new dump truck and passenger vehicles, as well a new fine structure for categories including nuisance, tobacco and vehicles.
