Crain Re-elected, Sidney School Bond Passes
HAMBURG - Hamburg voters elected Cathy Crain to a fourth term as mayor.
Crain defeated Harry Adams 215 votes to 70. Elected to the city council were Kent Benefiel, Earl Hendrickson and Michael Gregg.
The Sidney school’s $10 million bond issue passed 460 to 305. In the unofficial count, the measure passed by 60.13 percent. It needed at least a 60 percent supermajority to pass.
The project includes expansions to the junior and senior high school expansion for career technical education.
Elected to the Sidney School Board were Alisha Ettelman, Renee Johnson and Justin Travis.
