Man Involved In Flood Construction Zone Crash Set To Appear On Meth Charge In Otoe County
Meth suspect out of jail on a $500 bond provision
NEBRASKA CITY – A man involved in a five-car injury accident on Iowa Highway 2 on Oct. 4, is scheduled for a court appearance in Otoe County next week on methamphetamine charges.
Vernon Christiansen, 53, of Nebraska City was flown by medical helicopter to an Omaha trauma center after the pickup he was driving ran into traffic that had slowed in the construction zone near the Missouri River bridge. The collision involved five vehicles and the injury of two other drivers.
Christiansen, who was out of custody on a $500 bond provision, is scheduled for preliminary hearing Oct. 23 on charges of possession of methamphetamine on April 27.
