Drivers Injured When Motorcycles Collide
Motorcycle riders injured at highway intersection near Plattsmouth's Webster Boulevard
By News Channel NebraskaPLATTSMOUTH - Cass County Sheriff Wm. Brueggemann reports a two-motorcycle accident on Webster Boulevard and Highway 34/75.
A 2013 Harley Davidson driven by James McCollum, 49, of Bellevue was westbound on Webster Boulevard and slowed to turn onto the highway.
A 2003 Honda motorcycle, driven by 43-year-old Anthony Lave of Omaha failed to slow down behind McCollum.
A sheriff’s office press release says Lave’s motorcycle struck McCollum’s from behind.
LifeNet helicopter transported McCollum to the University of Nebraska Medical Center with back and leg injuries. Plattsmouth EMS transported Lave with possible head injuries.
Both riders were wearing helmets, which sustained damage in the collision.
