AUBURN – An escape charge has been filed against an Auburn man convicted of stealing metal alloys from Magnolia Metal.

Ryan Goodrich, 26, of Auburn had been sentenced Sept. 9 to two to 12 years in prison for burglary and theft charges, but was allowed to turn himself in to the sheriff’s office on Sept. 16.

He was also sentenced to a year in jail for attempted possession. His jail sentence was to start Sept. 16.

The escape charge says Goodrich failed to report as directed. The sheriff reports traveling a half mile to arrest Goodrich on Sept. 17.
