NEBRASKA CITY – A $100,000 bond has been set for a Nebraska City man accused being a felon in possession of a 38 Special “Undercover” revolver.
Court records say Melvin Campbell, 24, was one of two back-seat passengers in a vehicle driven by a Nebraska City woman on Sept. 16.
Police say the silver-colored revolver was found beneath a black plastic trash bag on the back seat floorboard. None of the four people in the car admitted to owning the gun, which had five rounds of ammunition loaded in the cylinder.
Another backseat passenger was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
