AUBURN – The Nemaha County Attorney’s office has filed felony driving under the influence charges against an Auburn woman who was found unconscious in car following an accident call on Highway 75 and 734 Road on Aug. 21.

An arrest affidavit says 34-year-old Ashley Kite was found unconscious in the back seat of a car that had left the highway, went into a ditch and came to a stop with its front bumper in a corn field.

The affidavit says Kite was attended to by Auburn Rescue when she regained consciousness. She told investigators she had not been driving, but deputies say Kite would not say who the driver was.

She is suspected of having her driving license revoked after four previous DUI convictions.
