AUBURN – An Auburn man has been sentenced to two to 12 years in prison for theft and burglary from an Auburn foundry.
Ryan Goodrich, 26, was arrested in February after the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office investigated theft of metal alloys from Magnolia Metal. Prosecutors say a metal recycler in Council Bluffs paid Goodrich $42,000 for materials sold from June to December 2018.
He was ordered to pay $535 in restitution.
Justin Heard, 26, is also charged with burglary from Magnolia Metal. Court records say surveillance video shows the Magnolia Metal employee loading brass into a vehicle and leaving the property.
Sentencing for Heard is scheduled Sept. 23.
