North Star Proposes 36 Houses On Morgan Drive
Developer asks for city's letter of support
By News Channel NebraskaNEBRASKA CITY - North Star Housing is seeking a letter of support from the city regarding a single-family dwellings project featuring 36 units.
The project would cover 5 acres on Morgan Drive north of the current Senior Patio Homes housing near CHI St. Mary’s.
City Administrator Grayson Path said the city successfully worked with North Star Housing on the Senior Patio Homes. He said the city contributed rezoning, tax increment financing, utility extensions and street extensions.
Path said the city council should not immediately agree to voluntary annexation and tax increment financing because the process for eligibility will not proceed until the project is further along.
The plan calls for 26 housing that will fit federal income guidelines.
