PLATTSMOUTH – Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann reports that a missing Omaha man was found as authorities investigated a roll-over accident on Interstate 80.
A press release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, says the Nebraska State Patrol found Shawn McWilliams, 50, in a Ford Explorer that had rolled into a ravine. The vehicle was not visible from the roadway, but witnesses reported a rollover in the median near mile marker 422.
The Cass County Attorney has directed an autopsy.
McWilliams’ girlfriend, Deb Warneke, posted on Facebook in an attempt to find McWilliams, who left his house in a Ford pickup on June 19 without taking the insulin he relied upon for treatment of diabetes.
