Man Charged With Sexual Assault, Burglary At Falls City Residence

FALLS CITY – A Richardson County judge has set a $200,000 bond for a Falls City man accused of first degree sexual assault on July 26.
Travis Sherman, 42, is charged with following a woman into her house and forcing her to a bedroom where an alleged sexual assault took place.
The woman made the allegations against Sherman after a July 28 incident, where police responded to a report of a break-in in progress. Neighbors told police they saw a man crawling through a window frame and shutting the window behind him.
Police searched through the house on Wilson Street and found the woman and Sherman inside.
An arrest affidavit said the woman was crying and told police Sherman had tied her hands.
Sherman is charged with burglary, false imprisonment and sexual assault regarding the July 28 allegations.
He is also charged with violation of a protection order at the residence on May 18.
