A Year In Jail Sentenced For Shoe Assault On Nebraska City Woman
Charges that he broke into his mother's house while she was in jail are dismissed
NEBRASKA CITY – A Nebraska City man accused of leaving a shoe imprint on his former girlfriend’s face during a domestic assault has been sentenced to a year in jail.
Jarrett Nelson, 25, was arrested in December after police said they could still see the imprint of a shoe on the woman’s face when they arrived. Prosecutors said Nelson had argued with his mother earlier over repayment of a loan and then went to the victim's residence.
Police say the shoe print on the woman’s forehead was an exact match with the sole of shoes that Nelson was wearing.
Nelson was also sentenced to four years probation for possession of a weapon by a felon.
Allegations that he broke into his mother's house while she was in jail were dismissed.
Nelson told investigators that he took possession of his mother's cash cards in an attempt to raise her bail.
