Syracuse Council Meets With Department Heads

Council prepares for Class C state baseball

SYRACUSE - Syracuse mayor and city council had another full agenda  Wednesday as they met with each department head about current needs and the future of the city.

The Syracuse fire department requests purchase of five sets of bunker gear.

Tim Collins has been hired to work directly under  parks department head Jill Crook .

Jeff Vogt of the  Public works department is arranging water certification for his employees to keep a very close eye on our water and sewer systems.

The council also discussed selling  food items at the Syracuse complex, separate from the concessions at the class C State baseball tournament. 

The city also considered fines for prohibited animals and animals at large.
