LINCOLN - The Nebraska Department of Economic Development announced $14.1 million in community development block grants for 38 projects in 33 communities.
Downtown revitalization grants include $435,000 for the Tecumseh business district.
Pawnee City received a $53,000 grant for block grant planning.
Of the $14 million in grants, 78 percent are in the category of public works.
For street and ADA sidewalks, Nebraska City and Brock were each awarded $630,000, Dubois $598,000 and Steinauer $292,000.
Burr was awarded $560,000 to demolish and clear the existing fire hall and construct a new fire hall building.
