Syracuse proposes cameras at public properties

SYRACUSE  - The Syracuse City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Oct. 8.

The agenda includes public hearings on the one and six-year street plan and amending the zoning code to include a floodplain district.

The city council will consider quotes for a camera system at the brush pile, sports complex, aqua center, Williams Park, City Hall and the library.

An ordinance would allow alcohol at the sports complex and volleyball courts for the 2025 Germanfest.

A Halloween parade is scheduled Oct. 31 on Fifth Street.
