Wahoo police officer faces sexual assault charge in Pawnee County
Amended information filed today
PAWNEE CITY - The Pawnee County Attorney's Office added a sexual charge charge to Wahoo police officer Juan Ramirez Jr., 28, who is suspected of assault by strangulation on Sept. 19.

A Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office affidavit says officers were dispatched to the Pawnee County Memorial Hospital where a woman said her boyfriend started choking her after going through her cell phone. The 28-year-old woman told investigators she was choked until she lost consciousness.
Deputies told the court they observed multiple bruises on the woman and a large bruise on the side of her head, as well as red marks around her neck. The affidavit says bruising was observed on her chest, arms, wrist, legs and shoulders.
Ramirez was held in the Lancaster County jail awaiting extradition to Pawnee County. An amended complaint was filed today alleging sexual assault.
A 10/11 Now news reports says Rameriz had previously worked for the Falls City Police Department.
