By News Channel NebraskaNEBRASKA CITY- According to the The All Things Nebraska online platform, Otoe County had the lowest violent assault rate in River Country from 2015 to 2017.
Otoe County’s assault rate per 100,000 population was under 70.1, while the assault rate in Fremont County, Iowa, and Omaha was 280.
The assault rate in Cass, Johnson, Pawnee, Nemaha and Richardson County was under 140 per 100,000 population.
The website offers over 30,000 mappable data layers including maps showing heat wave risks, of which Fremont County was lowest in 2023, at .02 compared to a high in Pawnee County of .58. St. Joseph, Missouri’s heat wave risk was .76.
