FALLS CITY- The Richardson County Attorney’s Office has amended charges against 30-year-old Taylor Rogers of Nebraska City to a misdemeanor alleging attempted prohibited acts involving human skeletal remains.

Rogers is also charged with concealing the death of another person in October of 2023.

County Attorney Samantha Scheitel originally filed charges under Nebraska laws pertaining to human skeletal remains for improper burial and for concealing the death of a baby.

Richardson County Sheriff Rick Hardesty said deputies searched, but have not found any remains. Rogers was charged after a witness claimed seeing the remains of a “fully developed” baby in the trunk of a vehicle at a Falls City apartment parking lot.

A sheriff’s office affidavit says Rogers told authorities there was nothing illegal in how her pregnancy ended.
