Fugitive wanted in Goshen County, Wyo. arrested in northeast Colorado

FORT MORGAN, Colo. — An accused violent fugitive wanted in Wyoming was arrested without incident in Morgan County on Wednesday afternoon following a month-long investigation involving local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
Tyger M. Rodriguez, 25, was taken into custody at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the 17,000 block of Morgan County Road 15. He is being held in the Morgan County Jail on a no-bond, nationwide extraditable warrant issued by the Goshen County Sheriff’s Office in Wyoming. Rodriguez is wanted on multiple charges, including two felony counts of aggravated assault, one of which involved a deadly weapon.
According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Unit first notified local authorities nearly a month ago that Rodriguez was believed to be hiding in the area. Through collaborative efforts, investigators confirmed his presence in Morgan County, leading to Wednesday’s coordinated operation.
Upon seeing the large law enforcement presence, Rodriguez surrendered peacefully.

The arrest operation included members of the NE Regional SWAT Team—comprising officers from Sterling Police, Brush Police, Fort Morgan Police, Logan County Sheriff’s Officevand the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office—along with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Forces from Colorado and Wyoming, Colorado State Patrol SWAT, Boulder and Douglas County Sheriff’s Offices, the Colorado Department of Corrections and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
