KIMBALL -- The Kimball Eagles Club is hosting a benefit breakfast for a local family.

Trevan and Hope Hinton have an 8-month-old baby, Brigsley Hinton, who was diagnosed with a non-cancerous brain tumor at just 4 months old.

They travel to Denver every week for chemo to treat the tumor, which will likely take 1-2 years to complete, Hope said in a Facebook post.

The Eagles Lodge is sponsoring a benefit breakfast for the family to help with medical expenses and time away from work.

“This is part of what we do as Eagles members; we help our community out, and our thoughts and prayers are with them as they go through this challenging time,” said Eagles Member Gabe Ingram. “The community is here to help and support them in any way we can.”

The buffet breakfast will be at The Eagles at 218 S. Chestnut St. on Jan. 12 from 8 a.m. - noon.

It is a free-will donation, and all proceeds will go to the family.

Local businesses and community members have also donated items for a silent auction, a few of them being gift baskets, ground beef and a free airplane ride.

Anyone can still donate auction items until Jan. 11 at 10 a.m.

"Trevan and I cannot express how thankful we are for everyone who has reached out to us during this extremely difficult time," Hope wrote in a Facebook post.
