Richardson County starts drive sober enforcement with 23 arrests
FALLS CITY – The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office reports 23 arrests since its participation in the national Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement beginning Aug. 16, including multiple drug enforcement arrests.
On the opening day of the enforcement, a K9 unit assisted with a Highway75 traffic stop of a pickup hauling a flatbed trailer. Court documents say sheriff’s deputies reported finding a pipe with meth residue in the pickup driven by Larry Newell, 42, of Omaha. Court records say Shyann Davis, 19, of Omaha was a passenger.
On Aug. 22, deputies arrested 43-year-old Jesse Stinnett of Maitland, Mo., and 30-year-old Jessica Bram, 30, of Maryville, Mo.
They are suspected of possession of 10 to 27 grams, possession of a deadly weapon while committing a felony and unlawful acts related to drugs.
Stinnett is charged with stopping or parking on a roadway.
The sheriff’s office suspects a habitual criminal enhancement against 45-year-old Michael Versnel of Wichita, Kan., who is suspected of possession on Aug. 25.
Also suspected of possession are 42-year-old Matthew Hillyard of Humboldt, 60-year-old Jeffrey White of Sabetha, Kan., 57-year-old Kristen Peniska of Lincoln, 33-year-old Laura Staten of Oklahoma City and 52-year-old Rebecca Robertson of White Cloud, Kan.
Ethan Pedersen, 27, of Scurry, Texas, is suspected of criminal impersonation. Kaelin Criqui, 22, of Melvern, Kan., is suspected of felon in possession of a short-barreled rifle.
A Missouri man was arrested Aug. 20 on a DUI charge.
Six were arrested on driving under suspension charges, three arrests for failure to appear and an Iowa man extradited on a Texas warrant.
