FALLS CITY – Cobblestone 2024 is scheduled Aug. 22-25 in  Falls City with the theme “We’ve Got The Spirit.”

Events begin Thursday, Aug. 22, with the fire department hosting a fishing contest at Stanton Lake.

Friday events include a carnival, Little Mr. and Miss Cobblestone crowning, wrestling dual on Stone Street and a DJ dance.

 

 

Saturday, Aug. 24 events begin with the Community Medical Center fun run and car show. The frog jumping contest and watermelon eating contest are on 1700 Stone Street.

The Buchanan Highlanders Bagpipe concert preceded the 11 a.m. parade.

The Richardson County Ag Museum hosts Chris Sayre at 2 p.m.

The Falls City Area Jaycees demolition derby is at 6 p.m. at the Jaycees arena south of Falls City. There are nearly $10,000 in prize money at stake.

Sunday events include the carnival on Stone Street, pinewood derby at the Falls City middle school and the high school music alumni concert at the high school auditorium.
