The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Otoe County until 6 p.m.

Radar indicated the potential for severe weather in a storm near Nebraska City that is moving southeast at 30 mph.

Hazards include damaging winds and hail.

Rain falling at a rate of 1.2 inches per hour as cell begins to pass north of Nebraska City

Fremont County Emergency Management reports 1” hail  east of Thurman in area of Anderson. Public reports .75 hail.

 

 

OMAHA - The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for River Country through 10 p.m. today.

The watch was issued at 2:45 p.m. after a severe thunderstorm warning was issued in Montgomery County, Ia.

The watch area includes Cass, Gage, Johnson, Lancaster, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee and  Richardson counties in Nebraska and Fremont, Mills, Montgomery and Page counties in Iowa.

3:55 p.m.  -- The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for eastern Fremont County and southwestern Page County in Iowa until 4:45 p.m.

Radar indicated a storm four miles southeast of Randolph moving southeast at 25 mph. Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
