OMAHA  -  The Missouri River remains in the moderate floods stage at Rulo on July 5. The river is forecast to fall below action stage on Sunday. The river crested two feet below major flood stage.

On July 4, the Missouri River Water Management Division reported "higher-than-expected" crests of the river at Kansas City, Mo. The Omaha district is entering post-flood recovery.

Heavy rain of two to four inches in central Kansas and central Missouri caused higher crests downstream of St. Joseph, Mo.
