Update: The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla., has widened the enhanced risk area for severe weather today to include more of southeast Nebraska, southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri.

4:40 p.m. – Funnel cloud reported near Larned, Kan., in line that is tracking northeast

4:40 p.m. – NWS employee reports 60 mph wind in Webster County south of Hastings.

3 p.m. – Tornado watch for 31 Nebraska counties in central and south central Nebraska.

3:21 p.m. – thunderstorm warning near Red Cloud in area of Webster and Franklin counties. 50 mph wind reports near McCook, emergency management reports ping pong ball to golf ball-sized hail near Nebraska, Kansas border.

3:50 p.m.- Tornado watch for 30 counties including southeast Nebraska and Fremont  County in Iowa.
