NEBRASKA CITY -  A couple from Detroit, Mich., is charged in Otoe County after officers found equipment to make plastic identification cards in their Chevy Suburban.

Court records say Kenneth Johnson, 30, and Jalah Jackson, 25, were occupants of the vehicle officers searched at the Ace Hardware parking lot on July 9.

A sheriff’s deputy told the court that a search of the vehicle yielded a machine marked Primacy that is used to make plastic cards, as well as multiple, empty purses, 15 brand new iPhones, $5,439 in currency and debit cards with people’s names that were not present.

The deputy also says a pill stamped with a biohazard symbol and blue pill were found. The Otoe County Attorney’s Office has filed a charge of possession of MDMA, a methamphetamine type neurotransmitter.

The county judge set bond at $50,000 and set a May 15 preliminary hearing date.
