November sales boost Auburn's new fiscal year

AUBURN – Auburn sales tax collections are lagging behind a year ago, but got a boost with the highest November collections on record.

The year-to-date collections are $21,000 behind last year with a low of $48,000 collected in October. Sales tax rebounded to $53,000 the next month.

Auburn had record-high sales tax collections in the fiscal year ending in September with $649,000. This year’s revenue remains above what the city had budgeted for.
