Coates, Coonce sworn in to NRD board

TECUMSEH – Patty Coates of Nebraska City and Kraig Coonce of Rulo were installed as directors at the Nemaha Natural Resources District Board meeting on Thursday.

Coates serves Subdistrict 4 and Coonce Subdistrict 9.

Also at the meeting, the board approved a well permit for Bauman Family Limited Partnership and reviewed its newspaper advertising plan.

Urban special project preliminary applications were reviewed for eligibility. Applicants will be notified of their qualification for funding and required next steps.

The annual lease with L. Binder on the Steamboat Trace was approved. Financial assistance for Falls City’s National Land Judging Team was approved.

 No discussion on the proposal regarding Steamboat Trace property encroachment.
