Syracuse Sweeps Falls City in Friday Night Doubleheader

In the opener, the Falls City ladies jumped ahead to an 11-3 lead after the first frame, but it was all Syracuse after that. FC was shut out in the final frame and fell, 47-23. Jayden Meyer led Syracuse with 14 points, scoring 13 of those after halftime. The Rockets got 12 points from Bridget Donovan, all before intermission; and Kadyn Sisco added ten. Delaney Godemann was the lone Tiger in double figures with eleven.
In the nightcap, the Syracuse boys pounced on the Tigers, grabbing a 19-2 lead through the opening stanza and never looking back. Will Janssen poured in a game-high 23 points in the win, while teammates Max Parde & Cash Vollertsen each hit for ten. Syracuse shot 50% on the night. Paxton Armbruster dropped in ten for the visiting Tigers.
Next up for the Rockets is a home DH against Johnson County Central on Thursday, December 7. Falls City will visit Johnson-Brock's place for a DH on Friday, December 8.
