NSP arrests Omaha man for child porn charges

OMAHA, Neb. -- Nebraska State Patrol investigators said they arrested an Omaha man following a child exploitation investigation.

The NSP Tech Crimes Unit arrested 48-year-old Joseph Thompson at a home in south Omaha. 

The NSP said they performed a search warrant Tuesday morning for the Omaha home that involved a child exploitation investigation. 

Thompson was arrested for one count of possession of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography.

Thompson was lodged in Douglas County Jail. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
