Police cite three for DUI

NEBRASKA CITY - Nebraska City police report citations during the Diver Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement Aug. 16 to Sept. 4.

Police issued 55 warnings and 31 citations, including violations for child seatbelt, driving under suspension and open container. There were 12 citations for speeding, three arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol and two for possession of illegal drugs.

Officers responded to 11 traffic accidents during this period.

Police arrested a 28-year-old Wichita, Kan., man on Sept. 3 for DUI, a 37-year-old Nebraska City woman for refusal to submit on Sept. 2.
