Falls City would merge utilities, street operations
Board of Public works could employ public works director
FALLS CITY -- The Falls City City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21, at city hall.
The agenda includes an ordinance to merge duties of utility superintendent and street superintendent into the position of public works director. The appointed six members of the Board of Public Works will have the duty to operate utilities and the street department.
The ordinance says the board may employ a public works director.
Rega Engineering recommends a $370,700 bid from Forten Building Group for Champion Crossing paving, sewer and waterline improvements.
The 14th annual Cobblestone Fun run is also on the agenda.
