PLATTSMOUTH - The Cass County Sheriff’s Office posted a warning to parents in July and asking for help to curb an increase in the number of underage and illegal uses of ATVs and UTVs on public roadways.

The sheriff’s office says the risk of roadway accidents are increased by inexperienced drivers and recreational vehicles.

The post says underage children could be fined and vehicles impounded. It also says parents who allow underage children to illegally drive a recreational vehicle could be criminally charged.
