Missouri River bridge to close at Brownville
Repairs planned after damage by oversized load

BROWNVILLE - The Missouri Department of Transportation is repairing the Missouri River bridge at Brownville and will close the bridge between Rock Port, Mo., and Brownville July 24 to Aug. 13.
A project to repair Highway 136 bridge at Brownville is scheduled to begin Monday. The repairs are needed after an oversized load struck and damaged the bridge.
Highway 136 will also be closed at the railroad crossing in Phelps City as part of ongoing flood mitigation.
Traffic will be detoured to Interstate 29 and highways 2 and 75 in Nebraska.
