Weeping Water hosts Gravel Grinder bicycle race
County board approves Cornhusker State Games route

WEEPING WATER - Cassgram reports approval for Cornhusker State Games use of gravel roads in Cass County as part of 50 K and 100 K bicycle races.
The race is scheduled to start and end at the city park in Weeping Water on July 29.
Dave Mlnarik, executive director, of the Nebraska Sports Council, told county commissioners the event is good for the county.
Commissioners reviewed signage and safety plans for the route and gave their approval after receiving assurance that “hold harmless” certifications will protect the county from liability.
The 50 K will go west from Weeping Water and back. The 100K goes as far east as Murray and west of Murdock and then back to Weeping Water.
