Storms produce tornadoes, large hail
Public reports baseball-sized hail near Auburn

NEBRASKA CITY - Thunderstorm cells triggered tornado warnings and dropped hail across River Country from the Kansas border into western Iowa.
The public reported 2.25" hail at Auburn, which is baseball sized. A trained spotter reported 2" hail.
Nemaha County Emergency Manager Renee Critser is assessing damage Wednesday night.

A tornado warning was issued for Nebraska City as a wall cloud crossed the area. Otoe County Emergency Management is preparing to conduct a damage assessment this evening.

One inch hail was reported at Hamburg and two-inch hail in Mills County near Emerson.
A trained spotter reported golf ball sized hail 1 mile south of Union on Highway 75.


IWeathernet.com reports 2 inches of rain from the Kansas border to Humboldt and 3.5 inches of rain in the Barada and Indian Cave State Park area.
Nationally, tornadoes killed two people and injured several others in central Oklahoma.
