Inmate serving time for murder charges dies at TSCI
The Nebraska Department of Correctional Service says a TSCI inmate serving time for a murder in Knox County has died.

TECUMSEH - The Nebraska Department of Correctional Service says an inmate serving time for a murder in Knox County has died.
NDCS says 74-year-old Phillip Privett died on Friday, April 14, at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution. According to a release, Privett's sentence began in late May of 2015 and he was serving 40-60 years for second degree murder and the use of a firearm to commit a felony out of Knox County.
Privett's cause of death has not been released. NDCS did note that the he was being treated for a medical condition, and that a grand jury will conduct an investigation of the death.
NDCS says Privett would have been eligible for parole in April of 2037, with a tentative release date in December of 2046.
