NORTH PLATTE - Senior Ruthie Loomis-Goltl set a new school record for points in a game and the Bridgeport girls basketball team defeated Hershey, 85-41, to win the South Platte Valley Association Tournament Saturday at North Platte Community College. 

The Colorado commit scored 16 of her 40 points in the fourth quarter, dropping the record-breaking basket in the final minute. Loomis-Goltl's sister, Olivia, finished with 20 points and Brooklyn Mohrman added 16. 

Hershey was led by Emma Hall, who had 24 points.

The Bulldogs improve to 14-0 and host Chadron on Tuesday. The Panthers drop to 14-3 and play Bridgeport again on Friday in Hershey. 

Will Moats scored 17 points and the North Platte St. Pat's boys basketball team never trailed in their victory over Bridgeport to claim their third consecutive SPVA Tournament Championship at NPCC on Saturday.

Brecken Erickson chipped in 13 points.

Gage Nein led Bridgeport with 8 points.

Bridgeport falls to 9-5 and hosts Chadron on Tuesday. The Irish are 14-2 and are at Kimball on Saturday.
