Scanner: stranded motorist, road rage, fire alarms
NEBRASKA CITY - Overnight scanner traffic included a stranded motorist, road rage incident and house fire alarms.
Otoe County deputies were alerted to a possible road range on Highway 2. A car was going 20 mph and blocking the road to keep a freight truck from passing. Later dispatchers were told a woman was out of her car near Dunbar blocking the truck.
Plattsmouth fire and rescue was dispatched at 5:14 a.m. Wednesday for smoke alarms going off in a Buccaneer Bay house.
At 5:14 a.m. Plattsmouth fire and rescue responded to 19621 Ridgeway Road, Buccaneer Bay, for smoke alarms in house.
7 p.m. Tuesday, Otoe County reports an elderly female slid off the road. Deputies could reach the woman on a steep incline by using the passenger door, but the woman uses a walker and there was concern about how to get her to safety. Talmage Fire and rescue was called to assist. She was taken to the hospital at Syracuse.
The woman was also concerned about the dog with her.
Nebraska City police were responded to complaints of animals left out in the cold.
Atchison County, Missouri, reported that Casey's in the vicinity was out of fuel.
