NEBRASKA CITY - The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for portions of southwest Iowa and southeast Nebraska until noon today.

Freezing drizzle and light snowfall are expected to result in slick roadways and sidewalks.

NC Airport reports precipitation from 7 to 8 a.m. with air temperatures at 31 degrees, after an overnight low of 24 degrees.

Radio traffic indicates multiple slide offs in the region.

Highway 2 eastbound was blocked around 8 a.m. east of the weigh station, but traffic was soon moving again.

There was a Nemaha County fire call at 8:18 am. to 63716 Highway 67 for a truck on fire. The truck was parked at a residence.

Highway 50 was moving slowly after 8 a.m., with slick conditions reported in Johnson County.

Nehawka Fire and Rescue was dispatched at 8:58 a.m. for a two-vehicle accident with injuries on Highway 75.

The accident is blocking traffic at 9 a.m. near Union Orchard with two injuries.
