FALLS CITY -  The Richardson County Attorney’s Office has filed felony assault charges after a Nov. 17 incident that led to medical care being needed for two Falls City men.

Falls City police say Joshua Young, 20, and William Phillips Jr., 19, went to a Falls City location to confront a man they believed was dating Phillips’ sister.

Phillips’ sister told investigators she arrived to see Phillips swing a tire iron at Dustin Stone. Investigators say Stone blocked the swing and took a baseball bat from Young.  Stone told investigators he hit Young with the bat as he tried to get away from the pair.

Phillips denies removing the tire iron from his car.

Stone was treated for a broken elbow. Young was treated for injuries to his head and a broken tooth.
