Man injured after shots fired in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. -- Officials are investigating a shooting that hurt one person in the metro area Sunday night.
The Omaha Police Department said that are investigating a shooting that left one person injured in the 3300 block of N 41st St. around 7:50 p.m. Sunday.
OPD said they responded to a ShotSpotter alert that went off in the area, and when they arrived they found a 51-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound.
According to officials, the man told them that he was walking when someone in a dark colored sedan shot him. It was reported that a residence near by was also hit by the gunfire.
Authorities said that the Omaha Fire Department medics took the man the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition, however, he has non-life-threatening injuries.
This is an ongoing investigation.
