DOUGLAS – The driver of a Polaris UTV was transported to a Lincoln trauma center Tuesday following a collision with a pickup truck on county roads 14 and King. An eight-year-old passenger on the UTV was released to a parent.

An Otoe County Sheriff’s Office investigator says the eastbound  Polaris, driven by 42-year-old Barry Hilton of Lincoln, struck the passenger side of the southbound pickup truck at the intersection. The truck, driven by David Lubben, 50, of Burr, left the road, but came to a stop safely in a field.

Hilton was transported with suspected serious injury.
