Woman offers reward for return of desert tortoise

PAWNEE CITY - The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is doing its part to help find a tortoise lost in Pawnee City, with a Facebook post.
Cazmere, a 100-pound desert tortoise, was reported missing June 8.
Amanda Kalinka is offering a $150 reward for information that “That brings my big girl home.”
Cazmere is a long-time resident of Pawnee City, but lived in Arizona for a time. She and Kalinka returned to Pawnee City last March.
She has escaped the yard before, but Kalinka said this time she had a three-hour head start. She had her morning feeding and then her daughter noticed her missing.
Kalinka has been searching a wooded area on the southeast side of Pawnee City near G Street.
